Miami Township is proud to be an official America 250-Ohio community! We want to celebrate our nation's signing of the Declaration of Independence with you. Our events this year will commemorate the 250th birthday of our country. The America 250-OH project is a statewide initiative to share Ohio's pride. Not only is Miami Township supporting this effort, but we are looking ahead to the township's 200th birthday in 2029.

Miami Township celebrates its bicentennial on December 9, 2029. Our ancestors built 40 square miles of land annexed from Washington Township that sparked the prosperity our community enjoys today. What was once a rural landscape of tobacco farms and gristmills, is now a suburban mix of high-tech corporations, national retail and restaurants, and mom-and-pop shops. Nestled within are tight-knit neighorhoods where residents take immense pride in their homes and community. As the township moves forward, it is also time to celebrate the past.

Miami Township wants you to be involved in how we plan the celebrations leading up to December 9, 2029. Expect surveys, contests and events that all tie in to what hopes to be a grand celebration. We encourage your feedback and ideas.
