WHAT: Community celebrates partnership with police to prevent crime
WHEN: Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 6 – 9 p.m.
WHERE: Township neighborhoods and at Austin Landing, 10050 Innovation Way
INFO: National Night Out is back! Fifteen neighborhood parties are planned along with a community celebration at Austin Landing. Township trustees, police and fire personnel will visit each party through the evening. The community celebration at Austin Landing includes free food, drinks and school supplies courtesy Skyline-Dayton Mall, Meijer, Walmart, Kona Ice and Cinepolis. The township will have special giveaways and hold a coloring contest for the kids. There will be a Miami Valley Fire District flag display, drone demonstration, law enforcement vehicles on display and bouncy houses for the kids. The Kevin McCoy Band will provide the music. People who register in advance can donate blood onboard the Community Blood Center Bloodmobile and Premier Health will offer COVID-19 vaccines.
Miami Township’s NNO celebration is among the top celebrations in the country. This special evening allows the police department to connect with residents to strengthen relationships and encourage crime prevention.
