[ARCHIVED] Humane Society Partners with Government Agencies to Offer FREE Microchip Event

Chippin at the Fire House Dec 2024

The Humane Society of Greater Dayton is excited to announce a special partnership with the City of Miamisburg, Miami Township and Miami Valley Fire District Station 51 to offer a FREE pet microchipping event for all local pet owners! Bring your furry friends for a quick and easy procedure that could make all the difference in reuniting you with your pet should they ever get lost.

Event Details:

  • When: December 5th, 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM
  • Where: Fire Station 51, 10899 Wood Road, Miamisburg, OH 45342
  • Event Type: DRIVE-THRU – No appointment necessary!

This drive-thru event is open to all Miamisburg residents and surrounding communities. Just bring your pets, and our team will take care of the rest. Microchipping is a simple and quick procedure that could be lifesaving in the event that your pet goes missing. Microchips are available while supplies last.

Why Microchip Your Pet?

  • Peace of Mind: Microchips provide a permanent ID tag for your pet, offering reassurance that they can always be identified.
  • Quick & Easy: The process is similar to a routine vaccination – fast and minimally invasive.
  • Higher Chance of Reunion: If your pet ever gets lost, a microchip significantly increases the likelihood of a successful reunion.

Important Notes:

  • This event is for dogs and cats only.
  • Please bring cats in carriers and dogs on leashes.
  • While we’ll do our best to chip every pet, safety is our top priority.

Open to All! Although the event is hosted in Miamisburg, everyone in surrounding areas is welcome to participate.
