Parks

The Miami Township Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining over 130 acres of land dedicated to the recreational needs of our residents. The goal is to provide residents and visitors with safe, clean and well-maintained parks for outdoor recreation.

General Park Policies and Rules

Miami Township parks are open to the public during daylight hours only, on a daily basis from the spring to fall seasons. During the winter season, the entrance gates to the parks are locked, and while vehicles are prohibited, walk-in visits are allowed.

The following rules apply to all parks:

  • Fishing is permitted in park ponds
  • Any alcohol or illicit drugs are prohibited
  • Pets on a leash are welcome
  • Swimming is not allowed
  • Ice skating is prohibited during the winter
  • All visitors are expected to obey all posted rules
