Terry Posey, Jr. was appointed to the Miami Township Board of Trustees in January 2020 to fill a vacant term that expires in 2022. He is a long-time resident of Miami Township with more than 15 years’ experience as a complex litigator focusing on appellate cases and as a business counselor identifying risk management issues for corporate clients. Posey is a partner at Gottschlich & Portune, LLP in Dayton, having previously worked for the law firm of Thompson Hine LLP.
Posey is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Dayton Society of Natural History, as well as a member of its executive committee. He previously served on the board of the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery, acted as co-chair for the Access to Justice Gala and sat on the Board of Governors for the Children’s Dyslexia Center of Dayton. He was a member of the 2011 Fellows class of the Ohio State Bar Foundation and a member of the 2016 class of Leadership Dayton.
Posey holds a juris doctorate from the University of Dayton School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia.
