Miami Township Police Department
The Miami Township Police Department is the largest township department in Montgomery County. Its authorized strength is based on available funding through two police operating levies.
The department holds the nationally recognized Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies' Certificate of Compliance (CALEA) that recognizes the department’s commitment to public safety and professional excellence.
It also hosts one of the top National Night Out events in the country, bringing the community together to promote an anti-crime message.
Under the supervision of the police chief, our officers protect and serve the community, committed to these core values:
Citizens Tool Box:
The Citizen Property Inventory System is a secure system to register your valuable property. It allows you to store serial numbers, item descriptions, pictures and scans of receipts so that your items can be quickly identified if lost or stolen. Register now and Report It.
The Vacation House Check service is available to any citizen who would like an officer to periodically check on your house while you are away. Here is what you need to do to set it up in advance.
National Night Out is a yearly event that promotes better police-community relations. We encourage residents to plan parties, cookouts and other gatherings to help build neighborhood pride. Here is how to register your party for National Night Out.
